Privacy Policy
Last updated: 6 July 2026
TendCall is operated by Seam Media ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it. We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect
- Account information - your name, email address and sign-in details. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google.
- Business profile - the details you give us about your business during setup: services, pricing, opening hours, service area, tone of voice and contact numbers.
- Billing information - payments are processed by Stripe. We store your Stripe customer and subscription references, but we never see or store your card number.
- Service data - to provide the service, we record and transcribe calls answered by your TendCall receptionist, and we process the SMS messages, social media messages, comments and reviews the service handles on your behalf. This includes details your callers and customers provide, such as their name, phone number and enquiry.
Call recording
Calls answered by TendCall are recorded and transcribed so we can deliver transcripts, capture leads and improve your receptionist's answers. The assistant discloses at the start of each call that the call may be recorded. As the business using TendCall, you are responsible for ensuring your use of call recording complies with the laws that apply in your state or territory.
How we use your information
- To provide and operate the service - answering calls and messages, capturing leads, sending you alerts, and showing everything in your dashboard.
- To train and improve your own receptionist's answers for your business. Learnings from your interactions are stored securely and used for your account.
- To bill you, support you and communicate with you about the service.
We do not sell personal information.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers to run TendCall, and share with them only what is needed to deliver the service: Stripe (payments), Twilio (phone and SMS), our voice and AI processing providers, Google (if you use Google sign-in), our cloud hosting and database providers, and the social media platforms you connect. Some providers may process data outside Australia; where they do, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled consistently with this policy.
Storage, security and retention
Your data is stored with reputable cloud providers and encrypted in transit. We keep your data while your account is active. If you cancel, we retain your history for a reasonable period in case you return, and delete it on request.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing contact@seammedia.com.au. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
Callers and end customers
Where TendCall processes information about your callers and customers, we do so on your behalf to provide the service to you. If you are a caller or customer of a business using TendCall and have questions about your information, contact that business in the first instance, or email us at the address above.
Cookies
We use only the cookies and local storage needed for signing in and keeping the service working. We do not use advertising cookies.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed. Material changes will be flagged on this page or by email.
